CT Ingenieros is developing a decision-taking system for the selection of an optimum strategy in the production of components

The project combines Direct Laser manufacturing and subtractive fabrication with conventional mechanization. Latest advances are in the development of dimensional control systems of the laser process, in the CAD/CAM system, experimental validations and decision taking methods.

CT Ingenieros is advancing in the project LASMEC which is developing a prototype system for optimized fabrication. This project combines direct metal deposition technique and the conventional machining process optimizing process time, resources and raw materials. The project focuses on the optimization of the fabrication of metal parts with a high added value and complex geometry.

The latest advances are in the development of dimensional control systems of the laser process, in the CAD/CAM system, experimental validations and decision taking methods. The LASMEC project was started in 2015 and will be finished during this present year.

The project is carried out in collaboration with Technological Centre of the Copo Group, Aimen and IK4-IDEKO and has the support of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Fund for Regional Development (FEDER) in the framework of the program `Collaboration Challenges 2015´ of the State Program of Scientific and Technical Investigation and Innovation 2013-2016.
