Processes, Tools & Methods
Due to many years of experience in system and software development and the associated processes and methods, we are able to provide you with competent support in the implementation of your project in all project phases. When developing your system, we take advantage of our extensive expertise in all areas of avionics, automotive and railway transportation.
The desired results can be achieved in countless ways. We work with you as independent consultants to provide you with objective advice on the development processes, methods and the appropriate tool support over the entire development phase and also during the successively product maintenance phase.
For the development of professional software and hardware, suitable and highly integrated development tools are required that optimally support the selected software development process and make it manageable, also with regard to the fulfillment of a specified development standard or process model. This includes tools for project management, the management of requirements, risks, tasks, tests and errors that are essential for complex system development. Tools for the closely connected implementation, administration and versioning of documents and software, the build management and the monitoring of the quality of the created software round off the project’s tool setup in the special case of software development. A well-coordinated portfolio of development tools is particularly necessary for the standard-compliant development of safety-critical software and hardware (e.g. DO-178C – Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification, DO-254 – Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware).
Other industry-specific standards such as IEC 62304 (Medical Device Software), IEC 61508 (Functional Safety of Electrical / Electronic / Programmable Electronic Safety-related Systems), ISO 26262 (Road vehicles – Functional safety), EN 50128 (Software for railway control and protection systems ) play an increasingly important role in the development of complex, safety-critical systems.
