“The largest exploration rig for ocean research and production of multimedia contents that has ever sailed” (James Cameron)

The OceanXplorer, born from the conversion of a former oilrig supply vessel (PSV) at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam, will replace the veteran Alucia and will carry on with her mission to increase knowledge about the oceans on our planet and reveal her discoveries to the whole world.

CT’s participation, from its offices in Narón, Saint-Nazaire and Getafe, involved providing all the detailed engineering documentation required for the refurbishment, from the steel dismantling drawings to the plans needed for production purposes. CT also sent a production support team to the DAMEN shipyard in Rotterdam, to help with the supervision of the vessel’s construction.
