With her 231-meters length and 26,000 tonnes displacement, Juan Carlos I is the largest vessel the Spanish Navy has ever had.

This amphibious assault ship, designed and built entirely in Spain, is one of the biggest naval engineering projects undertaken by CT.

Our engineering experts were involved in the project from the start, working on the basic engineering, detailed engineering, production engineering, RAMS (ILS & Safety) and tests & trials, being furthermore responsible for drafting the technical specifications for the purchasing a large amount of equipment.

We were constantly present throughout the project, showing CT’s ability to provide its customers with support at all the engineering and construction stages when building a vessel with such characteristics.
